Ongoing armed conflict &
the humanitarian crisis in Manipur
The armed conflict, since May 2023, has lead to one of the largest population of internally displaced persons (IDP) in the modern free India.
Huge majority of us in Manipur,
struggle for livelihood in a decimated economy.
Most of us have no free movement, restricted to few sq. km
and effectively in an open jail for almost 3 years now.
With no effective state presence, much of the region is controlled by non-state actors.
Thousands continue to languish in sub-human conditions in absolute apathy.
Countless children, youths and women remain extremely vulnerable to all sort of elements.
